Ministry of Transportation

Located in downtown Gatineau, the building housing the Ministry of Transportation underwent a complete redevelopment of its 5th floor. In a drive towards more dynamic workspaces, DLS Construction converted conventional offices into open-concept 2.0 spaces, fostering collaboration, flexibility, and sharing. This type of layout is increasingly being adopted in provincial ministries to promote efficiency and workplace well-being. The main challenge of the project was logistics: since the work took place at height and the elevators were too small, all materials and equipment had to be transported by crane, a delicate and regulated operation, especially in a busy urban area.
