Located in Gatineau’s industrial sector, the Glatfelter factory specializes in the production of technical fiber-based products. Over the years, DLS Construction has completed several projects there, covering both administrative offices and production areas. Notable interventions include the complete renovation of office spaces, the construction of a 30-foot-high partition to separate production zones, the installation of locker rooms and showers, and the laying of concrete slabs designed to accommodate small indoor cranes. A glass airlock (SAS) was also built to create a decontamination area before accessing the production lines. As with any project in an active industrial environment, safety and logistics were major concerns. The work was planned to minimize disruptions to operations, in an environment requiring high precision, strict compliance with standards, and constant adaptability to production realities.
