École de l’Île

Located in the heart of Gatineau, the École secondaire de l’Île welcomes hundreds of students annually from Hull Island and the surrounding areas. In this context, DLS Construction carried out a complete refurbishment of the gymnasium and pool locker rooms, including demolition, plumbing, under-slab drainage, structural repairs, as well as the finishing of showers (ceramic) and floors (epoxy) for improved durability and simplified maintenance. The walls and ceilings were also fully renovated. The main project challenge was adhering to a very tight eight-week deadline, despite the presence of asbestos in certain areas.
