Over the years, we have supported a variety of local initiatives: educational programs, such as the Fondation du Cégep de l’Outaouais (to which we notably donated furniture for the architecture department); cultural events; and social actions with organizations like Fondation des Apprentis, Maison Unies Vers Elles, Le Gîte Ami, and Maison Papillon. We also support environmental initiatives.
We also contribute to health and wellness causes, with support for the Fondation Santé Gatineau, the Fondation Mathieu-Froment-Savoie, and Centraide Outaouais.
Donations, volunteering, partnerships: every action counts when it comes to giving back. And we are equally proud to support schools, sports associations, and even emergency services, such as firefighters, because for us, community is built on all fronts.

It all began in 1988, driven by the vision and determination of Robert Desjardins. A graduate in Civil Engineering Technology from Cégep Montmorency, Robert honed his skills in Laval, Montreal, and the Laurentians, where he gained experience in all facets of construction: residential, commercial, and institutional. Starting as an estimator and later becoming a project director, he built solid expertise and a fine-tuned understanding of on-site realities. This experience would become the foundation of what would eventually become DLS Construction.
Moving to the Outaouais region the same year, Robert knew neither the territory nor the local industry players. Yet, driven by clear ambition and quiet confidence in his trade, he founded DLS Construction. Project after project, he grew a company recognized today for the excellence of its work, but especially for its trusting relationship with clients, built on attentiveness and diligence.
A Dynamic and Inspired Next Generation
The next generation is well established and moving forward with heart, ambition, and clarity. Olivier Desjardins, the founder's son, embodies a new generation ready to evolve the company without ever betraying its core essence. Trained alongside his father, he grew up immersed in construction sites and the values passed down: respect for the trade, the importance of commitment, and the power of sharing.
Drawing on these lessons, Olivier is now forging his own path. He is attentive, inquisitive, and resolute. He doesn't hesitate to leave his mark on the company's future by proposing innovative ideas, setting new objectives, and articulating a fresh perspective. With him, the foundations remain strong; but ambitions are rising, guided by a clear desire to go further, higher, and to build differently for the generations to come.
